Centro has always been known as a builder of truck bodies used for various purposes.. You’ve got bodies for transport and logistics, as well as ferrying passengers to different destinations. But with the Philippine construction industry growing by leaps and bounds, Centro sees a potential for throwing a crane into the mix.

The Hiab Crane is the newest product being offered by Centro Manufacturing Corporation. Built together with leading European construction equipment maker Hiab, the crane is a truck-mounted piece of heavy equipment. The Hiab 320T, for instance is a telescopic crane that capable of accommodating anywhere from three to five booms. It has a lifting capacity of 34 ton-meters, a maximum working radius of 19.6 meters and a maximum working height of up to 20.8m.

What this means is that it can reach a height equivalent to that of a 7-storey building. It can lift loads of from 1.3 tons using a 5th boom or up to 10 tons using its 1st boom only. And as mentioned earlier, it is mounted on a truck—perfect for moving from one construction site to another.

This latest product from Centro makes construction much easier, thanks to the versatility afforded by the flexible crane mounted on a truck. And this is what it is all about—building various types of projects that will cater to a wide range of people. All in keeping with building a more progressive Philippines.
