After a rousing launch a couple or so months ago, Volkswagen Philippines delivers the first batch of its most affordable offering, the subcompact Santana. No less than pioneering home construction and renovation store CW Home Depot took delivery of four units of the Santana.

The said cars will be used by CW Home Depot’s top sales agents as they go about their day making the rounds visiting architects, contractors, construction sites, and the like in order to put forward the one-stop shop convenience that CW Home Depot offers.

Just like CW Home Depot’s innovative strategy, the Volkswagen Santana isn’t your typical European offering. While most Euro sedans are more pricey compared to their Japanese counterparts, the Santana only retails for P686,000. For this you get a 1.4-liter four-cylinder motor with mult-point fuel injection developing 90hp and 132Nm, comfort and convenience features like power amenities, generous legroom and space for five passengers, and safety kit like ISOFIX child seat anchors and anti-lock braking system, just to name a few.

Yet it isn’t just the affordable priectag that attracted CW Home Depot to the Volkswagen brand. The premium Euro badge also comes with a three-year warranty that equates to worry-free motoring for up to 100,000kms. Moreover, the German brand’s Philippine distributor iis offering service intervals of up to 10,000kms in between check-ups. This translates to cheaper running costs and more time spent on the road—which is what their job entails in the first place.

With the first batch of Santana units rolling out onto Philipine roads, we can expect to see more of the German subcompact in the months and years to come.

Under one roof and one hood, the shared values of quality, convenience, and efficiency can be found in CW Home Depot and the Volkswagen Santana.
