As the implementation of the PUV Modernization Program draws near, the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines and the Jaime V. Ongpin Foundation recently held an EV Drivers Advance Training course for the Electric Vehicle drivers of Barangay Ayala Alabang in Mumtinlupa City.
Held last May 23, 2018, drivers of EJeepneys and ETrikes were taught about the proper way of driving and maintaining electric vehicles. The participants weren’t only given basic tips on how to operate these rides but also got a peek at their various components.
Things like batteries, charging ports, and other aspects of the vehicle were featured, letting the drivers in on how these function. Apart from these, gadgets such as the automated fare collection system, GPS navigation devices, CCTV, and dash cams were likewise thrown in to give everyone a bit of knowledge on how these work. It’s no secret that these will be part of the new PUVs, aimed to make life easier for the drivers and passengers alike.
With the training, it is hoped that everyone will have an easy time once the Modern PUV becomes operational.
