If you’ve been a keen follower of Mercedes-Benz, particularly the performance-oriented AMG line, you’d know that the marque is fond of rolling out limited-run Edition 1 models. The recently-launched G63 is no exception, as Mercedes-AMG has just unveiled an Edition 1 for the first year of production.

You can tell that this one is special thanks to touches like red accents on the side mirror caps, alloy rims, and brake calipers. The last bit even has blacked-out AMG lettering that adds a nice contrast. And of course, there is a grey decal at the bottom of the doors that matches the rest of the exterior

The cabin is likewise a sea of black with some red contrast accents. These can be seen on the seats, and the 12-o’ clock position of the steering wheel, A shade of burgundy, meanwhile, can be seen on places like the door panels, lower center console, and the grab handle on the dashboard’s passenger’s side.

Apart from these, this is still the same G63 that boasts goodies like the Panamericana grille and side exhausts, just to name a couple of signature styling cues. The motor is the familiar and welcome 4.0-liter biturbo V8 that puts out 577hp and 850Nm of torque. It can blast the G63 from 0-100kph in just 4.4 seconds and go all the way to a top speed of 240kph.

The Mercedes-AMG G63 Edition 1 will only be available during the first year of production.
