EVAP now has the BYD Atto 3 as their official vehicle to banner the EV revolution in the Philippines

AC Motors Centrale, a leading automotive hub in the heart of Bonifacio Global City, proudly announced the successful turnover ceremony of the BYD ATTO 3 as the official vehicle of the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP). The momentous event took place on January 5, 2024, at AC Motors Centrale in BGC hosted by Mr. Bob Palanca of Iconic Dealership Inc.

The BYD ATTO 3, renowned for its cutting-edge electric vehicle technology, has been selected as the flagship vehicle for EVAP, further solidifying the organization’s commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly transportation solutions.

Director Patrick Aquino, DOE – EUMB Director, Mr. Toti Zara III, President of AC Motors Centrale, Mr. Edmund A. Araga, president of Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines, Mr. John Lee, VP Internal of Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines, Mr. Bob Palanca, Group Chief Operating Officer of Iconic Dealership Inc., Mr. James Ng Managing Director of BYD Asia Pacific and other EV enthusiasts gathered at AC Motors Centrale to witness the momentous occasion. The ceremony featured speeches from Mr. Toti Zara President of AC Motors, Mr. Edmund Araga, President of EVAP and Director Patrick Aquino of DOE -EUMB, highlighting the significance of the partnership and shared vision for a greener and more sustainable future.

Mr. Toti Zara III, President of AC Motors, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration of EVAP and BYD. And to make a strong partnership with DOE and EVAP to communicate to the market the benefits of EVs not only to the motoring public but for the society as well.

Mr. Edmund A. Araga, President of EVAP, that as association EVAP would like to encourage people with the support of AC Motors and other EVAP member that EVAP is promoting the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) in the Philippines. And that through the efforts and hardworking Director Patrick Aquino who leads the way on CREVI and establishing the EVIDA law this works together as private stakeholders uniting and collaborating and work as one in the industry. 

As per Director Patrick Aquino, DOE will be rolling out 5 fast charging stations here in Luzon. DOE is hopeful to find destination points. Rest assured that DOE will update the CREVI.

The BYD ATTO 3 boasts advanced features including a high-capacity battery, intelligent energy management, and a sleek design that combines aesthetics with functionality. It aligns perfectly with EVAP’s goals of promoting the adoption of electric vehicles to address environmental concerns and r4educe carbon emissions.

During the ceremony, representative form EVAP expressed their gratitude for the support from AC Motors, acknowledging the pivotal role the BYD ATTO 3 will play in advancing the electric vehicle landscape in the Philippines.

The event concluded with a symbolic turnover of the BYD ATTO 3 to EVAP President, signifying the beginning of a collaborative journey towards a sustainable and eco-friendly future for transportation in the Philippines.
