It’s no secret that many folks associate the Ford brand with big, tough trucks and SUVs. Then there is the racing side, which closely links the Blue Oval marque with cars like the iconic Mustang and GT. Yet Ford isn’t just about burning rubber and fuel, as it also has a gentle, caring side.
This can be seen in the various activities undertaken by the Ford Volunteer Corps, which holds a series of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs during September of each year. Also known as Ford Global Caring Month, it held a few of these events right here in our country.
One such CSR endeavor was the house building and painting done in cooperation with the Gawad Kalinga (GK) Bayanihan Village in Dasmarinas, Cavite. The GK project witnessed over 70 Ford employees render 500 hours of community work via building and painting homes that would benefit around 20 families.
