HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo (center) took a brief tour of the recently inaugurated Ariel #AhonPinay Electrical and Installation Maintenance Training Room at the TESDA Complex in Taguig City. TESDA-NCR Regional Director Cenon Querubin (2nd from right) and P&G Regional Communications Manager for Fabric & Home Care, Southeast Asia Louie Morante updated the HARI chief on the developments of the TESDA-Ariel #AhonPinay campaign, which is designed to empower women in the workplace, particularly in the technical-vocation sector. Earlier, Ms. Agudo graced the ribbon cutting of said training room and was the Keynote Speaker at the graduation of the first batch of TESDA graduates under the #AhonPinay program. Ms. Agudo is a known thought leader and advocate of women empowerment through education.
Hyundai Asia Resources Inc (HARI), official Philippine distributor of Hyundai vehicles, has been known to promote more than just its model offerings. It has been advocating innovation through skills development, as well women empowerment and equality. And no less than its President and CEO, Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo has been the most vocal about this.
So it is quite fitting that the lady CEO was the guest of honor at the Ariel #AhonPinay Electrical and Installation Maintenance training room inauguration at the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Center in Taguig. She was likewise the Keynote Speaker during the graduation of the first batch of the Ariel #AhonPinay program.
A joint program of TESDA and Procter & Gamble, the Ariel #AhonPinay program is part of the campaign with the same name. It aims to promote gender equality and empower women to become productive members of society.
Says Ms. Perez-agudo, “You are a powerful statement that women are perfectly capable of finding fulfillment and of building a better life for themselves and for the people they love in jobs that many still consider as ‘for men only.’”
