The Hyundai Philippines Entrance Hall is poised to welcome a new generation of visitors to the newly renovated National Museum of Natural History, proud repository of the country’s rich scientific and cultural past.
Hyundai’s Philippine distributor, Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI) has been a staunch advocate of environmental protection. It has likewise been supporting culture and the arts and hopes to make Filipinos aware of their artistic heritage. Now, HARI has just added natural history to its list of advocacies as it recently unveiled the Hyundai Philippines Entrance Hall at the newly renovated National Museum of Natural History at the Rizal Park in Manila.
Held last September 30, 2017, the affair hosted VIP guests and other stakeholders who witnessed Hyundai’s symbolic commitment to championing the cause of educating Filipinos in Philippine biodiversity conservation.
The distinguished roster of guests included Education Secretary Leonor Briones, National Museum Chair Ramon de Rosario, and Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo, President of HARI’s corporate social responsibility arm, Hyundai Foundation Inc. All of them reaffirmed their commitment to support the endeavor which gives our country’s proud historic and cultural past a new home that is more accessible to many Filipinos.
Says Ms Perez-Agudo, “With a new home that promises better access to research and collections that bespeak new thinking in the sciences through the centuries, the NMNH inspires national pride and the desire to learn and discover new ways of addressing biodiversity loss and climate change woes. For it is with a deep understanding of our past that we can effectively address present and future challenges.”
The newly renovated National Museum of Natural History will have its grand public unveiling before the year ends.
