Despite a slight decline I total year-to-date sales, Hyundai Asia Resources Inc posted a record high for the month of October with 3,578 units. This was a strong start to the fourth quarter of 2018, offsetting the slight damper of total sales volume for the January-October period of just 29,018 vehicles—slightly lower than last year’s 30,717 output.
The upward trend in October sales were due in no small part to the Passenger Car segment, which saw 2,113 cars leave HARI showrooms. This brings total year-to-date figures to 21,065 units.
For the Light Commercial Vehicle class, sales were up from 1,153 units last year to 2,074 units this year. While the Kona that was recently launched helped the charge, it was the H100 Small Utility Vehicle that was mainly responsible for this performance.
With two months left for the year 2018, HARI expects to end the year on a high and turn in another record performance.
