Centro Manufacturing Corporation, the leading truck body builder in the country continues to innovate as it recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Nippon Fruehauf Japan to build insulated sandwich panels. The venture will see Centro assembling and selling these ssandwich panels to the local market.
The deal calls for a P100 million investment that will include a new plant in Cavite. Here, Nippon Fruehauf will transfer its know-how in assembling, producing, and quality standards, as well as provide the materials that will be used for these panels. The panels will be used for refrigerated or controlled temperature vans.
The new venture will not only cater to the ever-growing transport and logistics sector that also has a lot of clients that require controlled temperature vans to transport their goods. It likewise aims to provide more jobs to more folk who will help build these parts and others in the Centro lineup.
The MOU was made known during the recent Philippine International Motor Show, which was also the venue where Centro and NF showed off their latest innovations.
