Suzuki sales continue their upward trend during Q3 2018

The year 2018 seems to be a good one for compact vehicle maker Suzuki Philippines, which continued to post strong sales during the third quarter of the year. With 14,600 vehicles sold during the first 9 months of the year, it experienced a 6 percent growth compared to last year.

This is quite amazing, given the industry-wide slowdown that can be attribituted to factors such as inflation ahd the TRAIN Law. Still, SPH took a leap of faith that has resulted in an upward sales trend. Leading the charge is the Ertiga 7-seat MPV. The little people mover took 33 percent of market share for the brand. Its little brother, the Celerio came in second with 14 percent, while the new Vitara came in a close third at 12 percent market share.

Of course, all this would not have been possible without the market push that Suzuki did during the year. It was very visible during events like the Manila International Auto Show last April, and the recent Philippine International Motor Show last October. And yes, football fans got a treat as it continued to sponsor the AFF Suzuki Cup.

The year isn’t over yet. So exect to see more of Suzuki during the closing stages of 2018. And we’re expecting to see better sales to go with this as we round out the year.
