Rolls-Royce Motor Cars are no doubt some of the rarest offerings on the road. The epitome of luxury, if you will. Yet in true Rolls-Royce fashion, the British marque is out to once again showcase its heritage by unveiling a Bespoke Silver Ghost Collection for model year 2018.

Paying homage to the 1907 Silver Ghost of Sir Henry Royce that was driven 14,371 miles by Hon. Charles Rolls and Claude Johnson in a bid to make automotive history, the specially-crafted collection will feature a host of elements that are at the pinnacle of luxury—for motor cars or any product for that matter.

It begins with the Spirit of Ecstasy bathed in solid sterling silver, complemented by a Hallmark AX201 badge that was the original registration plate of the 1907 car. Not only is this badge that sits at the Spirit of Ecstasy’s base a tribute to the original ,ti will be placed by no less than the British Assay Office—a distinction reserved only for a privileged few. There is also a Metal Fineness Mark, a Assay Mark, and a special RR badge to complete the badges of honor.

Finished in Cassiopeia Silver, the Silver Ghost features a coachline that didn’t just take 8 hours to apply; it is made of 100% pure silver particles. This is complemented by a black grille which,  together with the exterior color, pay tribute to the original work of art. And the polished wheel centers are engraved with the letters SILVER GHOST—SINCE 1907.

Stepping inside reveals a Forest Green leather-clad interior with silver tipped accents and silver onlays in select places. A Silver Ingot-styled clock likewise gives reference to the forbearer, complete with peened silver encasement. Then there are the treadplates with engraved inscriptions that read Silver Ghost Collection—One of Thirty-Five. All this is finised off with unique Rolls-Royce touches such as the Rolls-Royce Hamper and umbrella with Tudor Oak handle.

While the new 2018 Rolls-Royce Ghost may be more advanced in terms of technology, the Silver Ghost Collection does not forget its roots—the heritage that makes the marque the true symbol of luxury motoring.

Only 35 of these Bespoke models will come out of the Home of Rolls Royce.
