Honda gives the Civic a refresh

When Honda came out with the 10th-generation Civic around three years ago, many were blown away with its sport coupe-like styling. It was a radical departure from the rather busy-looking previous iteration. But as handsome as the new Civic is, three years is practically considered midlife in the automotive industry. This is why Honda thinks it’s time for a refresh.

This is exactly what the folks at Honda North America did to the Civic sedan and coupe (available in the said market). The new Sport trim offered for both variants get piano black accents on the grille and front fascia, side pod accents, a splitter-style revised rear bumper, and new polygonal exhaust tips.

Stepping inside, not much has changed, save for the latest infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Besides all these, higher-spec variants get Honda’s Sensing suite of safety tech. This adds goodies like Forward Collision Mitigation braking with Warning, Road Departure Mitigation Warning with Lane Departure Warning, and other driver aids that will keep you out of harm’s way.

For now, the refreshed Honda Civic is only sold in the US market.
