In March of this year, a group made up of 45 individuals became the first batch of students of the Hyundai Dream Center Philippines. The educational institution established by Hyundai Asia Resources Inc., Hyundai Motor Group, and Plan International aims to train underprivileged yet deserving individuals in order fir them to have a productive career in the automotive industry both locally and in the international stage.

The courses began with training on automotive technology. In particular, the focus was on Hyundai’s very own state-of-the-art technology—what it’s all about, how it works, and how to handle equipment and the like. In line with this, the students will have a two-month on-the-job training at various Hyundai dealerships.

All this will lead to the graduates being given the opportunity to work at these very same dealerships as Certified or Apprentice Technicians. They likewise have the chance to go abroad and share their skills with the rest of the world.

And this is the reason for being of the Hyundai Dream Center Philippines. It was established to meet the growing demand for highly skilled After-Sales staff that are equipped to service today’s modern and sophisticated vehicles. Moreover, these young men and women should be able to provide a more personal level of service that is key in the cut-throat automotive industry.
