It was exactly one week ago when Hyundai Motor Company teased the world with sketches of the upcoming, Next-Generation Santa Fe. Now, the Korean carmaker finally reveals what the eagerly-anticipated Sport Utility Vehicle will look like once it hits the production floor.
As we saw from the sketches, the front end features a pari of twin headlights that flank the marque’s Cascading Grille. Hyundai notes that this design language will be the standard in its SUV family. Not only does it give it a more stylish appearance but likewise adds a youthful and elegant vibe.
Hyundai also let us in on what the interior will look like. The photos reveal a cabin with the horizontal design theme that gives it a clean and modern demeanor. With a length of 4,770mm and a width of 1,890mm, Hyundai promises a roomier cabin that is more comfortable and has an upscale ambience.
But what Hyundai seems most proud of with its new top-of-the-line SUV offering is the suite of active safety gear. It will feature goodies like Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist and Safety Exit Assist. The former not only warns the driver of an obstacle while backing up but will even apply the brakes to help avoid a bumper-bender. The letter, on the other hand, will automatically lock the doors to prevent occupants from exiting the vehicle when a vehicle approaches from behind—all in the name of preventing a life-threatening mishap.
The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe will be unveiled this February, which will be followed by a world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in Miarch.
