The successor of the Aston Martin Vantage that was unveiled recently seems to have quite a big pair of shoes to fill. We say this simply because Aston Martin itself admitted that the previous model was its most successful product to date. And now, the next-generation model begins its journey as production commenced at the Gaydon, Warwickshire plant recently.

The second model under the Second Century plan, the new Vantage began hand-built production with no less than Secretary of State for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy, Mr. Greg Clark, on hand to grace the affair. In his speech, Aston Martin President and CEO, Dr. Andy Palmer, said that while the task may be daunting, the company will surpass the performance of the previous-gen Vantage.

Aston Martin intends to do this by catering to its existing clientele while looking for new customers and markets. It likewise fits the car with the latest tech while still retaining the core values of an Aston Martin—luxury, sportiness, and the comfort that only a true Grand Tourer can give.

With production commencing, clients can expect their new Aston Martin Vantage to be delivered later this month.
