It Was a Rousing Q1 2018 for Suzuki Philippines

With a rousing 2017 behind it, Suzuki Philippines begins the year 2018 with an equally strong showing as it posts its highest gains during the first quarter. The Japanese carmaker reported a 21.4% year-to-date growth during the first three months of 2018.

Sure, the recent implementation of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law may have dampened spirits (and sles) in the automotive industry. Yet Suzuki took its chances and stuck to its 2017 prices for quite some time, which evidently helped drive sales up during this period.

Leading the charge was the family-friendly Ertiga. The seven-seat Life Utility Vehicle posted a 33% growth for Q1 2018. This was followed by the mini-compact Celerio with a 13% growth in sales. Rounding out the top three was the recently unveiled Vitara, with 12% more units delivered from January to March 2018.

Yet Suzuki Philippines is not about to rest on its laurels. It will continue to push the brand, attending events like the recently concluded Manila International Auto Show (a first or Suzuki).  Then there would be new dealership launches and other activities that will let Filipinos know that it is here to offer world-class vehicles that suit their various tastes, budgets, and lifestyles.
