JSK Auto Fun Run 7: A Giant Car Club Meet for a Cause

With the vast number of cars on the road, it’s not surprising that various groups of owners come together and form a car club. This is their way of celebrating the common thread that binds them.

Yet there is also an entity, JSK Custom Paint and Auto Works, that seeks to form a unique camaraderie not just among one car club but between various clubs that favor different makes and models. Hence, the formation of the JSK Auto Fun Run.

Now on its 7th year, the event assembles a slew of various cars and people from different walks of life. This year’s staging saw a total of 1,055 vehicles make their way from SM North EDSA all the way to the Subic Convention Center. Yet unlike most Fun Runs, this one had a few twists to make things more interesting.

Thanks to the efforts of JSK Auto Fun Run Founder and Organizer Johnson Tan and his team, NLEX Corporation, and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), the event was filled with fun activities that not only gave participants a treat but was likewise a chance to help others in need.

This year’s Fun Run, for instance, recognized the Mirage Club of the Philippines for hauling in 68 of its members—making it the car club with the most number of participants. Danna Belle Chua from Girl Racers Club, meanwhile, bagged the grand prize for the JSK Auto Fun Run raffle. She drove home a brand-new Toyota Wigo. And the event was made a bit more upbeat with the special participation of rapper Andrew E himself.

While  the fun run may have been a good excuse for car nuts to stretch their rides’ legs, it was also an opportunity to help their less fortunate brethren. In case you didn’t know, ths year’s event was for the benefit of Reach Out World Wide Foundation.

All told, the JSK Auto Fun Run proves that we can all bond together and share a common passion. In this case, our love for cars and all things automotive. Plus, we can help out while doing so.
