This year, Lamborghini is celebrating a very important milestone in what is currently its second largest market: Japan. The Sant’Agata Bolognese luxury sports car maker is marking 50 years in the Land of the Rising Sun, which began with the unveiling of the 400 GT.
Lamborghini’s 50th Japanese birthday will be marked by a special Aventador S Roadster . Yet this is no ordinary S Roadster as it takes after the five natural elements of Japanese culture. Limited to just 5 examples, each one of these cars takes their cue from water, earth, fire, wind, and sky.
Take the water element as an example. This can be seen in the specially-formulated and designed paint that was used on the one-off model. While it may look bluish, Lamborghini Centro Stile and Ad Personam folks say it can actually turn black under certain lighting conditions. Moreover, no less than 170 hours were put in by ten specialists just to get this shade and effect right.
