Maxus PH brings in pickup challenger in the form of the T60

Maxus Philippines, through its Ayala-affiliated official local distributor Automobile Central Enterprise, Inc. (AC Motors), recently held an outdoor event at the ArcoVia in Pasig City. The agenda was to launch the T60, its entry in the hotly-contested local pickup truck market. Presented via an elaborately designed off-road course, the Chinese brand showcased the T60’s style, poise, and toughness.

On the surface, the T60 presents a commanding stance. The fascia evokes a muscular aura, highlighted by a sizable grille and flanked with a set of LED headlights and running lights for maximum visibility on and off the road at all times. In profile, the hulking stance continues with its set of 17-inch alloy wheels, running boards, and character lines. The look is then completed with standard tail lights and stylish bumper.

The T60 is classified as a midsize pickup, and is the longest and widest in its class. This enables the pickup to handle varied cargo and passenger transport requirements.

The T60 is powered by a 2.8L diesel motor with Variable Geometry Turbocharger and Drive Mode Select that generates 148 hp with a pulling capability amounting to 360 Nm. This is mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission that sends motion to either the back wheels or all for wheels, depending on the variant.

Maxus Philippines claims that the T60 is one of the few models in the pickup segment with a 5 year warranty (or 100,000 kms, whichever comes first). Moreover, the after-sales services are set to the "maximum" with a periodic maintenance service (PMS) interval schedule of the first 5,000 kms and every succeeding 15,000 kms or once a year, whichever comes first. This is more convenient and more cost-efficient compared to the industry-standard 5,000-km PMS interval. Maxus Philippines also offers a 24/7 emergency roadside assistance, a pick-up and delivery service for customers, and on-site servicing for corporate fleet accounts.

The Maxus T60 4x2 Pro MT, 4x2 Pro AT, and 4x4 Elite AT are offered at special introductory prices of P948,000, P1,028,000, and P1,278,000, respectively. Available colors are Agate Red, Lava Gray, and Blanc White for the T60 4x2 Pro, and Olive Green and Aurora Silver for the T60 4x4 Elite. Obsidian Black is available for both variants.
