Bermaz Auto Philippines, Inc., (BAP), the exclusive distributor of Mazda vehicles in the country, recently held its first Jinba-Ittai night at the City Kart Racing in Circuit, Makati. It served as an icing on the cake for what was a notable 2017 experience in terms of sales and overall positive company growth.

In retrospect, BAP indeed had a blast in 2017. One of the company’s highlights during the past year was its beefed up efforts to help improve Philippine motorsports from the ground up. It carried this out through a Motorsports Development Program (MSDP) which was made possible in partnership with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP).

Furthermore, BAP also conducted a public test drive event which ran with the “Jinba-Ittai” theme to give the people a taste of what driving a Mazda feels like. According to Mazda, “Jinba-Ittai” is a Japanese phrase that means “horse and rider moving as one.” In Mazda’s case, the essence of the phrase is reflected to how one would feel some sort of harmony as he or she drives a Mazda; from the vehicle’s driver-oriented interior layout to its overall exterior styling.

Finally, aside from clinching notable category recognitions during the 2017 CAGI Car of the Year Philippines awards, BAP also had its best-ever year in terms of vehicle sales in 2017.

To celebrate these achievements, BAP invited a group of the country’s motoring journalists to a night of fun and excitement. Dubbed as the Mazda Philippines Jinba-Ittai Night, the event had the journalists enter a friendly competition around City Kart Racing’s go-kart race track. Below are some of the photos of the said event.
