Michelin PH introduces Primacy 4 premium tires with improved comfort, wet braking performance

Michelin Philippines recently launched its latest addition to the Primacy premium passenger vehicle tire line. It’s called the Primacy 4, and it’s highly pegged by the brand as the tire that’s safe when new and safer when worn.

This bold claim isn’t just for show as Michelin Philippines backed it up with actual data gathered from the French tire maker’s extensive research and development at its facility in Thailand. For starters, the Primacy 4 helps maximize the vehicle’s braking performance, especially during wet driving conditions.

Fresh out of the dealership, the Michelin Primacy 4 achieves shorter braking distances, 2.5 meters shorter than its rival tire brands. Best part is when worn-out, the Primacy 4 tires (with only 2 mm of remaining tread depth) registered a braking performance that’s 5.1 meters shorter than the competition.

The secret to this is Michelin’s new Evergrip Technology. It’s characterized by a new tire design and rubber compound. The former allows water to be displaced evenly, thus exposing more of the rubber. The latter, on the other hand, is rated to be a lot stronger than the compound found in the competition. This gives the Primacy 4 a higher level of durability.

Finally, the Michelin Primacy 4 is also one of the quietest and most comfortable tires out in the market today. This is due to its 2nd gen Silent Rib Technology that has inter-locking bands between tread blocks that minimize air pumping sound effects as the tire is rolling.

The Michelin Primacy 4 is now available in 15-, 16-17-, and 18-inch sizes for small cars to large SUVs.
