The all-new Mitsubishi Xpander has not yet officially rolled out onto Philippine roads yet it has already garnered its fair share of awards. The much-awaited Multipurpose Vehicle from Mitsubishi has won a string of recognitions, particularly in its home market of Indonesia.
The latest one is the coveted Indonesian Car of the Year. Given by Otomotif, a leading Indonesian automotive tabloid, the seven-seat MPV likewise bagged the Best of the Best MPV, as well as the Best of Small MPV trophies.
The automotive publication recognized the Xpander for its romy cabin wrapped in a “right-sized” body that isn’t too large as to make it difficult to handle in tight city streets, yet still capable enough of tackling flooded and not-so-smooth roads.
Moreover, the potent yet efficient 1.5-liter motor makes it economical to run yet still a joy to drive. And then there are the top-notch safety ratings that were likewise given by the ASEAN New Car assessment Program (ASEAN NCAP) a few months back.
The new Mitsubishi Xpander will begin customer deliveries in the Philippines this May.
