As the year 2023 drew to a close, leading automakers worldwide have unveiled their annual performance results. Among them, the emerging crossover SUV brand OMODA has achieved remarkable success with a cumulative export sales volume exceeding 147,000 units, showcasing its unstoppable momentum. As a fast-growing global brand, OMODA is strategically positioning Southeast Asia as a market of focus. The brand's new energy strategic plan has gained attention and ringing endorsements from governments in several Southeast Asian countries.

In late November 2023, high-ranking government officials including Airlangga Hartarto, Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, and Shan Xiangqian, Deputy Governor of Anhui Province in China, attended the roll-off ceremony of the inaugural OMODA E5 and highly praised the new energy technology it comes with. Subsequently in December, Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz, Minister of International Trade & Industry (MITI Malaysia), acknowledged OMODA's remarkable accomplishments in Malaysia and its notable contributions to the new energy sector. The OMODA E5, an exemplary model of new energy vehicles, was gifted to MITI Malaysia, marking a new milestone in the brand's global presence.

OMODA's progress has also captured the attention of high-ranking officials in the Philippine government. In early 2023, Honorable Josel Francisco Ignacio, then Consul General of the Republic of Philippines in Shanghai, and Commercial Counselor (now Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to India), had the opportunity to test drive the OMODA 5 in China and highly recognized its stylish and avant-garde design aesthetics, along with its convenient and comfortable driving experience. In early November, Mr. Jeff Liu, Chery International General Manager for Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific, and other executives held talks with Dr. Ceferino S. Rodolfo, Undersecretary of the Industry Development Group (IDG) of the Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines, in Shanghai. Both parties engaged in extensive discussions regarding OMODA's development in the Philippines and future strategic planning for new energy.

The Philippine government has been actively promoting the growth of the new energy vehicle industry. In April 2022, they enacted the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act, which grants specialized license plates and tax exemptions for all electric and hybrid vehicles. Furthermore, in early 2023, they also lowered the tariffs on some imported electric vehicles and their components.

As a major economy in Southeast Asia, the Philippines has witnessed a steady rise in consumer demand for automobiles. According to the data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA), new vehicle sales have experienced 17 consecutive months of year-on-year growth since March 2022. It is expected that the total sales for the full year 2023 will exceed 400,000 vehicles. OMODA is optimistic about the development of the automotive market in the Philippines and places great importance on the growth of its brand locally.

Looking back at 2023, OMODA implemented a series of brand initiatives in the Philippine market. These initiatives included inviting renowned local automotive media and KOLs to embark on a "Foresee the Future Way" test drive journey at its global headquarters, and the successful signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with BDO UNIBANK INC, the largest bank in the Philippines, to deliver high-quality financial services to local consumers. With these efforts, OMODA was deeply committed to enhancing its brand power and service capabilities across multiple dimensions. This also highlights OMODA's determination to establish the Philippines as a key strategic market for expanding into the Southeast Asian region, as evidenced by its substantial investment of resources and its unwavering commitment to long-term, high-quality growth.

In 2024, OMODA is set to intensify its efforts in the Philippine market, reaffirming its commitment to offering local consumers world-class technology and exceptional products. This year, the OMODA 5 EV will be brought to market in the Philippines, aiming to deliver green and efficient mobility solutions for the local user base. Looking into the future, OMODA will remain true to its founding purpose and build upon its presence in the Philppines. It will further accelerate the advancement of its new energy strategy, contributing fresh impetus to the green and sustainable development of not only the Philippines but the entire Southeast Asian region.

Through profound insights and contemplation of the trends toward youthfulness, individuality, and globalization, OMODA is dedicated to embracing global consumers with a youthful mindset and creating a forward-looking brand for the spirited new generation with an attitude.

OMODA keenly perceives the lives of the contemporary global young generation and, embodying a "CROSS" boundary-breaking identity, engages in full dialogue with the emerging generation. By breaking the order of the real world, OMODA brings cutting-edge design and futuristic technology to young users, offering them stylish vehicles that are ahead of their time.

In the name "OMODA," the "O" stands for surprise and vitality, and it is also a symbol of the essential element of life, Oxygen. "MODA" is derived from "Modern," conveying a sense of avant-garde fashion and representing a new global generation of sustainable lifestyles, an embodiment of eco-friendly green practices and forward-looking technology.

Adhering to a global brand mindset, OMODA has innovatively created the "O-universe" ecosystem concept, a unique communication method between the brand and users, and an exclusive social symbol for OMODA. The goal is to establish warmer connections with global users, to embrace a more diverse culture, and to co-create a desirable LOHAS lifestyle with users.
