Since 1986, Petron has been helping thousands of motorists enjoy safer journeys during Lenten season through its Lakbay Alalay program, a corporate social responsibility initiative focusing on roadside assistance.

On its 32nd staging this year, the Petron Lakbay Alalay program is set to not only provide roadside assistance, but also to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the motorists themselves. This will revolve around the “The best ang byahe” theme.

Firstly, Petron will be offering free safety checks and preventive maintenance services via its participating car care service centers and refueling stations nationwide. This will be made possible through the efforts of the company’s personnel who will be volunteering to serve even during the long weekend holiday.

Petron will also put up banners like “Seatbelts save lives” and “Helmets on, headlights on” on major thoroughfare to remind motorists that safety is paramount. As primer, a caravan called The Best Ang Byahe is now on a mission to visit schools, communities, and malls to remind people of the importance of safety and security on the road and event at home.

Part of this campaign is the Bisita Gasulista. Basically, this has teams of Petron personnel roaming around communities and visiting homes. The objective is to check the condition of the Petron Gasul LPG and remind homeowners of proper LPG care and handling.
