Petron Corporation will play a vital role as the official fuel and engine oil supplier of the 2018 FIA Sport Conference. It will be held on June 3 to 7 in Pasay City, and will be hosted by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), the country’s motorsports governing body with support from the Department of Tourism (DOT).
In summary, the 2018 FIA Sport Conference is a 1-week gathering of different auto racing icons and dignitaries representing their respective motorsport fields and countries. It is organized by the FIA or the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile, the world’s leading authority in everything motorsport related.
The upcoming event, which will see its first Asian staging, has only one aim; to empower fellow nations into cultivating the motorsport culture. It will be an exciting event filled with symposiums, motorsport parades, Philippine motorsport historical tours, and auto exhibits.
Moreover, the event will be highlighted by actual motorsport events such as drifting, rally cross, gymkhana, among others. These will be complimented by activities targeted to kids and students to be supervised by seasoned Formula One racing driver Felipe Massa. Finally in its concluding days, the 2018 FIA Sport Conference will also be having the 6th Motorsport Regional Conferenced to be attended to by high-ranking officials in the industry.
Due to this huge endeavor, Petron Corporation and AAP have signed a partnership with SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation (SMCACDC), the official distributor of BMW vehicles in the country. The latter’s role is to provide mobility for the hundreds of expected guests.
