The Peugeot e-Legend Concept takes its cue from a classic

With retro being all the rage these days, Peugeot has come up with a concept that takes inspiration from one of its classic offerings. We refer to the e-Legend concept that takes its cue from the 504 of the late 1960s.

The two-door coupe keeps the lines of the Pininfarina-penned nameplate but adds a few modern touches. The cool thing about what the French carmaker did is tht these modern-day amenities aren’t in-your-face but rather, use the existing elements. Take for instance the black accents on the bottom of the c-pillar. These house a screen that shows a personalized greeting and charge level.

Yes, this number is fully electric and has autonomous driving capabilities. Just like any futuristic concept, this one has a host of 16 displays of varying sizes within the interior. And just like the outside, these screens are integrated in various places for a truly retro vibe.

What isn’t retro is the 100kWh battery that powers the electric motors. This allows the e-Legend to go up to 600kms on a single charge. This takes just 24 minutes—enough to get you some 500kms.

And this car is no slouch as Peugeot claims the 462hp and 800Nm electric mils can rocket the car from 0-100kph in less than 4 seconds before hitting a 220kph top pseed.

Sound too good to be true? Well, it probably is since it is a one-off show car that may never see production.
