The Porsche Macan has always been considered s the sportscar of the compact Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment. Every variant, from the base 2.0-liter all the way to the Turbo has a bit of that Porsche DNA sewn into the package, albeit in varying degrees. Now, Porsche gives us a taste of that motorsport heritage in the Macan Turbo with Performance Package, painted in a special Motorsport livery.
The special one-off Macan, which is rendered in the brand’s iconic Motorsport colors and design, pays tribute to the racing heritage that made Porsche a legend. The Porsche Macan Turbo with Performance Package befits this rich lineage, with its 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that develops 440hp and 600Nm—40 more horses and 50Nm more torque than the standard Macan Turbo.
These numbers allow the compact SUV to sprint from 0-100kph in just 4.4 seconds—0.4 ticks faster than the Turbo. Moreover, top speed is also increased to 272kph, or 6kph faster. And yes, in-gear acceleration from 80 to 120kph drops to 2.9 ticks—0.2 quicker than the standard Turbo.
Frist seen in September of last year, the Macan Turbo With Performance Package also adds a host of exterior, interior, and performance goodies to match its newfound power. And with the Motorsport livery, Porsche simply reinforces its racing roots.
But alas, the Porsche Macan Turbo Performance Package with Motorsport Livery is only a one-off model. It is exclusively used by Porsche Asia-Pacific for its press fleet.
