Even before the term Sport Utility Vehicle was coined, Range Rvoer was already offering owners comfort and luxury mixed with off-road capability. Nearly 50 years after the first Range Rover was born, the British luxury off-road maker now gives us a new standard in SUVs—the Range Rover SV Coupe.

As the name suggests, this is a three-door full-size SUV made by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations division. While it may have only three doors, it still retains the signature floating roof, flowing waist, and elegant bodywork. The frameless doors add a touch of sporty sophistication to the mx.

Stepping inside, these hand-assembled SV Coupes come with semi-aniline leather with diamond quilt for a truly premium touch. As if Range Rover’s aren’t upscale enough, owners can even spec their ride with a host of colors, veneers, and other touches that can truly be called their own.

Sure, the Range Rover SV Coupe may be fitted with first-in-class 23-inch wheels. Yet it can still tackle the roughest terrain, says Land Rover, with its all-terrain management system, 900mm wading depth, and 3.5-ton towing capacity. And its 5.0-liter supercharged V8 puts out 565hp, allowing it to zip from 0-100kph in just 5 seconds and hit a 265kph top speed—the fastest for a Range Rover.

The Range Rover SV Coupe will begin shipping to customers by the fourth quarter of this year.
