Developed using the ‘right sizing’ concept, the new-generation 3.3-liter longitudinally-mounted Inline-6 engine is available in both diesel (CX-60) and gasoline (CX-60, CX-90). Both engines utilize Mazda Boost technology that captures energy that is normally wasted during braking and stores it in a lightweight lithium-ion battery to power the electrical systems.

The Mazda CX-60 and CX-90 employ a newly-developed Skyactiv-Drive eight-speed automatic transmission. Smooth and responsive, it offers a wider gear range that delivers an optimal balance between driving and environmental performance. 

The new rear-biased i-Activ All-Wheel Drive system is supported by Mazda Intelligent Drive (Mi-DRIVE).
