Subaru tweaks the WRX and WRX STI for 2019 with more safety and standard kit

While Subaru has been focusing a lot on its crossovers lately, the Japanese carmaker has not forgotten the models that gave it its renowned reputation. We refer to the WRX and WRX STI, which recently got a few tweaks in terms of safety and standard kit.

Motor Image Pilipinas announced the availability of the new WRX and WRX STI with more standard equipment. The WRX, for instance, gets a new grille-mounted front camera that helps improve forward visibility. It likewise comes with a new 8-inch touchscreen for infotainment and connectivity. It now gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to help owners stay connected while on the go.

The WRX also gets a new electronic parking brake with hold feature to help improve safety and keep the car stationary even on steep grades. Speaking of safety, it now comes with EyeSight driver assist technology that gives the driver a second pair of eyes. This one has stuff like Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, and other driver aids.

As for the rally-bred WRX STI, it receives a few exterior touches and full leather seating. It also gets a new sunroof to help one appreciate nature more while driving. Plus, this is a great way to soak up the exhaust note while driving.
