It was a day of testing skills and knowledge about everything Chevrolet. Yet the Annual Chevrolet Skillssfest, held last March 2 at Don Bosco Technical Institute in Makati, was more than just a competition. It was a venue where dealer representatives gained knowledge and a new understanding of sales and after-sales service.
With some 34 participants from the 27 dealers from around the country, the Annual Chevrolet Skillsfest pitted both sales personnel and service technicians against each other in their respective categories. The sales representatives and managers, for instance, got a chance to show their stuff via six-point vehicle walkaround that demonstrated the various features of vehicles like the Trailblazer, Colorado High Country Storm, and Spark.
After the sales methodology station, it was the after-sales team’s turn to go thru the various stations of the after-sales methodology. Here, engine and chassis systems were evaluated, which showed off how much these men and women knew about the different components and the like. Role-playing also gave them the opportunity to show off how they would fare in dealing with customers, as well as troubleshooting different problems.
In the end, the following emerged victorious in their respective categories:

- Maribel Pilapil – Chevrolet Batangas
- Bob Ello – Chevrolet Commonwealth
