The Ford EcoSport has been around our market for quite some time now. And in the last couple of years, more examples have slowly been making their way onto our streets. The smallish size, coupled with the raised ground clearance makes it the perfect urban warrior to tackle the madness we call roads.

But now, the smallest Ford SUV wants to breach one of the most competitive auto markets in the world—the United States. It plans to do so by showing youngsters how cool it is to drive this Ford that may be small on the outside but big in features. In fact, the EcoSport was launched in no less than hip Los Angeles and live on Snapchat.

The US-spec EcoSport, however, isn’t just a chic urban warrior that is targeted at those that want the SUV lifestyle but don’t like the bulk that comes with it. The new iteration is an updted version, with a new front end that possesses the signature Ford face, as well as a revised rear end that loses the spare tire carrier. This gives it a much tidier appearance.

The new EcoSport takes pride in its wealth of connectivity and infotainment options. It begins with a 10-speaker B&O Play sound system tuned by Harman sound engineers. There are even door-mounted tweeters and woofers up front and a subwoofer out back. Besides this, Ford’s Sync3 allows occupants to seamlessly connect their mobile device and make it part of the cr. This way, they can keep in touch with the world outside while on the go. Moreover, Sync Connect allows the driver to lock, unlock, and even locate the vehicle using their mobile phone.

Unlike our version, the US-spec EcoSport can be had with either a 1.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged three-cylinder or a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated four-pot that can be paired with Inteligent all-wheel drive.

The new Ford EcoSpport can be ordered in any of ten vibrant colors and seven ambient lighting configurations. Plus, It’s the perfect way to dress up your Ford to suit your personality.
