As the name suggests, UberXL is a larger, more spacious version of our favorite ride-sharing app. It offers riders the convenience of services like UberX, yet gives them a whole lot more space for their loved ones and their gear.
By taking UberXL, riders can get the people and cargo carrying space of rides like the Toyota Innova, Mitsubishi Adventure, and Isuzu Crosswind—perfect for families or groups of six people. Or, one can choose UberXL for running errands like doing the groceries, and still save on the fare. Apart from the service being around 50% more expensive than UberX, riders who share a car can split the bill. With more riders being able to share, you end up paying less.
The UberXL service will be available beginning May 12, 2017. The updated app will be ready before the 20th of May.
