Since its debut over 40 years ago, he BAMW 3 Series has offered a wide range of variants to suit an equally diverse audience. It can be a luxurious sedan, a chic and spacious wagon, a 3 Series convertible for those that prefer open-top motoring, or the all-out driving pleasure afforded by the M3.

BMW will soon be giving buyers a more simplified yet still diverse way to choose which 3 Series suits their fancy. The German carmaker will be fielding the Edition Sport Line Shadow, Edition Luxury Line Purity, and the Edition M Sport Shadow. Each one is designed to target a specific type of individual while still offering the hallmarks of the highly successful  sport sedan and wagon.

The Edition Sport Line Shadow, for instance, receives an elegant yet sporty touch with black accents on the headlights, taillights, the kidney grille, and exhaust pipes. Even the 18-inch allys get the Jet Black treatment. The same understated yet classic BMW look continues inside, with sports seats and steering wheel getting thick fabric and leather while Pearl Gloss Chrome strips accentuate the cabin even further.

Those that want a bit more luxury and exclusivity, on the other hand, can opt for the Edition Luxury Line Purity. The premium vibe can be seen in satin finish aluminum accents on the window lines, kidney grille, lower bumper, exhaust pipes, and 17- or optional 19-inch alloy rims. The interior likewise gets a bit more upscale, with leather that can be ordered in a new shade of Cognac, along with Pearl Gloss Chrome accents, a sports steering wheel, and dashboard with contrast stitching, just to name a few.

And what 3 Series lineup would be complete without the M treatment? In this case, the 3 Series sedan and wagon can also be had with the Edition M Sport Shadow that is focused mainly on “maximum dynamics”. This can be seen in the black headlamps and dark taillights, the Chrome Black kidney grille and tailpipes, and lower air intakes set in an equally dark hue. The 19-inch twin spoke Orbit Grey alloy wheels are an optional extra that completes the sporty touch. The inside also gets black leather seats with blue contrast stitching, Dark Aluminum and Pearl Gloss Chrome accent strips, and dashboard accent stitching. Moreover, a host of M equipment can be ordered for the suspension, steering wheel, and other bits to truly give the car the vibe it deserves.

Speaking of standard and additional extras, LED headlights and foglamps will now be standard across the ragne. There will also be a slew of extras that give the BMW 3 Series more style, luxury, and sportiness.

The BMW 3 Series Edition packages for the sedan and wagon will be available beginning in July of this year.
