When one witnesses a crime or falls prey to lawless elements, the usual course of action is to head for the nearest police station to report the incident. Pretty soon, however, all you need to do in case of an emergency is go to your nearest Shell station.

Yes, you read that right. Shell recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and launched the new Itaga Mo sa Bato Quick Alert app. Through the Association of Pilipinas Shell Dealers Inc, the oil company’s 960 stations scattered all across the archipelago will now serve as quick alert centers where motorists and citizens can report a crime or emergency.

When involved in a crime or emergency, for instance, al one needs to do is head over to the nearest Shell service station to report the incident. The station’s staff will then utilize the Itaga Mo sa Bato Quick Alert app to directly notify the PNP’s Command Center, who in turn will deploy the cops to the scene. Fret not if you can’t make it to the gas station as one can simply call the said service station and report the occurrence.

The latest partnership is part of Pilipinas Shell’s continuing commitment to keep its service stations and the surrounding communities around it safe and secure. Plus, it is a good way to practice Corporate Social Responsibility.

Got an emergency? Head to the nearest Shell station today. It could just save your life.
