KTM Invites You to Duke ‘em @147k

Many people are of the impression that KTM motorcycles are rich boys’ playthings. This image of the Mattighofen, Austria-based motorcycle maker isn’t helped any each time one sees where one of its first showrooms is located—in posh Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

Thanks to KTM Motorcycle Manufacturing Inc, a joint venture between KTM AG and Adventure Cycle Philippines, the Ayala-owned Philippine subsidiary is now able to offer its products at relatively more affordable rates. Case in point is the KTM 200 Duke.

Touted as the entry level KTM, the 200 Duke is now priced at a more reasonable P147,000 via the Duke ‘em @147K promo. That, as many enthusiasts know, is a huge savings compared to the previous sticker price. And while the motorbike may be down on price, it is anything but entry level when it comes to specs and its racing DNA.

Built on the attributes of going to the extreme, purity, performance, and adventure—just like any KTM motorcycle--, the 200 Duke rides on a lightweight yet durable trellis frame. This makes for dynamic cornering that many say is essential in a city bike. This is backed up by a four-stroke, water-cooled motor that puts out 26hp. That’s more than adequate to provide riding fun within city limits or out on the open road.
