With Christmas upon us, many motorists will be on the road to visit family and friends. If you’re one of them, it is best to check up on your vehicle to ensure that you’ll a have a safe and hassle-free journey. And one of the simplest yet most important things to remember is that your tires should be in good condition and properly inflated.
This is the timely reminder that Michelin gave during its last Fill Up With Air road safety campaign for 2016, held at S&R Cagayan De Oro. The S&R branch, located at Barangay Kauswagan along the Butuan-CDO-Iligan road, taught participants the importance of correct tire pressure. Proper inflation, as many may know, ensures not only a safe drive but can also help achieve better fuel economy.
The free vehicle inspection, held last December 2 and 3, 2016, was conducted by Michelin engineers who made sure that each vehicle brought to them had properly inflated tires. Moreover, they gave a short briefing on why such a practice is important.
The S&R Cagayan De Oro Fill Up With Air campaign was the last of a series being held by Michelin for this year. The seminars began in S&R Nuvali last April, followed by similar events in Metro Manila (Mandaluyong), Cebu, Pampanga, and Davao. The CDO leg saw a total of around 50 cars take part in the event.
