The recent launch of the Nissan GT-R was met with a lot of fanfare. Rightfully so, as it is no secret that this Japanese supercar is practically a modern-day performance icon.

But now that the car has finally landed on our shores, the burning question is: Will Nissan take care of older GT-Rs that were sourced from the grey market? The good news is, yes it will.

Nissan Philippines has just announced that its appointed dealership, Nissan High Performance Center (NHPC) in Quezon Avenue, will gladly grant amnesty to GT-Rs that were purchased through the grey market. This includes units of the R32 all the way through to the present-day R35. Moreover, owners who register their vehicles before October 15, 2016 can avail of the waived registration fee.

Nissan Quezon Avenue is, at present, the sole authorized service center for NHPC. This means it has state-of-the-art diagnostics equipment, body alignment, and highly-skilled technicians who ensure that your beloved GT-R remains in top form. The dealership is owned by the MGM/Autohub Group of Mr. Willy Tee Ten.

Don’t worry, though, if you live in the province and own the almighty supercar. NHPC technicians will still service the car right in your area. This will, of course, entail an extra cost. And so will enrolling in the service program after October 16, 2016. But hey, this should be a small price to pay to ensure that your pride and joy receives the same TLC as everyone else who bought their GT-R straight from the showroom.
