It will be an experience for visitors of the upcoming 29th All VW Classic/Custom/New Generation Car Show when they see first-hand the variety of Volkswagen Philippines’ current and upcoming line-up bearing the latest German technologies and innovations.
To be held at the Camp Aguinaldo Grand Parade Grounds in Quezon City on January 25, 2015 from 8 am to 6 pm, the All-Volkswagen Classic/Custom/& New Generation VW Car Show showcases a convergence of classic VW models with its owners competing for automotive excellence, both in function and looks.
The highlight of VW PH’s exhibit area is the Touran multipurpose vehicle (MPV), which has been chosen as the official vehicle of Pope Francis during his visit to the Philippines last January 15 to 19. The Touran is powered by a 110 Ps 2.0-liter, turbocharged diesel engine (also available is a 1.2-liter variant that is powered by a 105 Ps turbocharged petrol engine).
Also to be displayed is VW PH’s most anticipated Golf GTI. Available this February, the GTI is equipped with 18-inch GTI “Austin” wheels, GTI grill and bumpers, GTI color-keyed rear spoiler, GTI LED tail lamps, and GTI tailpipes. This enthusiast car is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged and direct-injected gasoline engine with 220 Ps and 350 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed DSG transmission that drives the front wheels.
“We believe that this event is an excellent way to showcase VW’s latest models together with the VW heritage. Visitors will also have the chance to test drive a number of VW PH’s current lineup including the Touran, Tiguan, Polo, and the iconic Beetle,” says VW PH Chief Operating Adviser Klaus Schadewald.
The 29th All VW Classic/Custom/New Generation Car Show other activities include parts swap meet, novelty items sale, die-cast cars display, music, food, raffle and give away prizes.
