The TransSportShow is an event that many car enthusiasts look forward to attending each year. Organized by TradeShow International, the show spotlights the best of the best in the Philippine aftermarket scene, as well as car restoration and other cool projects.
While this year’s event is no different, the 2017 staging, which runs from April 20-23 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, has an added attraction: the winners of the 2016 Car and Truck of the Year.
As many may know, the Honda Civic RS Turbo and the Isuzu D-Max 4x2 were chosen by the Car Awards Group Inc (CAGI) as the top choices in the land. And we’re not simply talking about picking from a bunch and calling it their favorites, mind you. On the contrary, CAGI scrutinized a wide selection of entries using both qualitative and quantitative tests. Thanks to the help of KPMG, Carmudi Philippines, and Ayala Land, the group of motoring journalists was able to arrive at their decision.
“This is a chance for us to display the victors from last year after a thorough screening process. It’s one way for the public to know that the citation given to these vehicles are not just any other ordinary award,” said CAGI president Ronald de los Reyes.
