While almost every car you see on the road is used for getting from Point A to Point B, the reality is that some of them are hardly ever going to see their full potential. This includes a large majority of Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) that hardly go off-road, as well as performance cars that may never see a racetrack in their entire life.
This is why Porsche designed the Porsche Driving Experience. Recently held at the world-famous Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, the Porsche Driving Experience was designed to help drivers familiarize themselves with the dynamics of the car in different driving situations, not to mention under varying degrees of electronic aid involvement. Yes, with today’s cars being loaded with electronic nannies, a driver must learn how to deal with, or even live with them, while still having loads of safe driving fun. And yes, the experience was also created to showcase the true potential of these performance machines in a safe environment.
Whether they used the Porsche 718, Macan, Cayenne, the newly-unveiled Panamera, or the iconic 911, the participants got to witness how these cars can go flat-out, exit a corner quickly and safely, or react to emergency maneuvers with the utmost grace and poise. Drivers also got the try the 911 Turbo S, Panamera Turbo, and Cayenne Turbo S.
Just like the different cars, the Porsche Driving Experience offered various driving courses to suit a diverse range of skills and help take each one’s potential to the next level. Participants got the chance to try their hand at Warm Up, Precision, Performance, Master, Race Track Experience, Porsche World Roadshow, and even ride shotgun in Co-pilot. Either way, it was a fun-filled experience they won’t soon forget.
