Hyundai Motor Company is South Korea’s largest automaker. Grab, meanwhile, is the biggest mobility services provider in the Southeast Asian region. Now, the two companies come together it what promises to be a large and innovative venture.
The Hyundai-Grab venture will see both companies teaming up to develop joint mobility solutions that cater to a wide range of users across the region. One of the goals of this union is to come up with a service that utilizes Grab’s innovative offerings on an electrified Hyundai vehicle.
The potential Hyundai could be the Ioniq Electric. This clean vehicle can be used as a viable means of transporting people in and around congested cities. It being an electric vehicle means that it will be friendly to the environment and the business owner’s pocket.
The Hyundai Ioniq, in both hybrid and electrified versions, is no stranger to mobility services. It has been pressed into service since Jnaury 2017 in the U.S. via a tie-up with WaveCar. It has also seen the roads of the Netherlands and Vienna, Austria as the vehicle of choice for transportation solution services in these places.
So will we be able to ride an electric Hyundai Ioniq the next time we book a Grab?
