The New Year brought with it news of impending price increases, particularly for automobiles, fuel, and other goods and services. Thanks to the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion or TRAIN Law, a large number of the said products and services will be slapped with higher taxes, thus leading to increased retail prices.
While the new law was set to take effect last January 1, 2018, some companies have given their valued clients a bit more time to swallow the bitter pill. One of these is Motor Image Pilipinas, exclusive Subaru distributor in the Philippines. Subaru has chosen to hold off price hikes, specifically for its hot-selling Subaru Forester.
At present, the compact SUV still retains its 2016, pre-TRAIN prices until January 31, 2018. After February 1, however, each variant will see a bit of a price hike. To be more specific, the Subaru Forester will have the following prices:
- Forester iL; Before TRAIN: P1,468,000
- After TRAIN: P1,548,000
- Forester iP: Before TRAIN: P1,678,000
- After TRAIN: P1,768,000
- Forester XT: Before TRAIN: P1,948,000
- After TRAIN: P2,048,000
As mentioned above, buyers only have until January 31, 2018 to avail of these prices. So hurry and visit your nearest Subaru dealer today.
