Almost a year ago, Porsche unveiled a derivative of its popular sports sedan, the Panamera, in the guise of the Panamera Sport Turismo. Meant for the sporty family man, this Panamera exuded a balance between work, play, family life, and of coruse, driving pleasure.
Eleven or so months after its world premiere, Porsche Philippines welcomes the newest member of the Panamera family to the Philippine market in a ceremony that likewise ushers in the Year of the Earth Dog. Held at the Carrera Café, the feast was filled with sumptuous food, good cheer, and the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo.
Ticking the tape at 5,049mm long, 1,937mm wide, and 1,428mm tall with a 2,950mm wheelbase, the large dimensions pay off handsomely when it comes to passenger and cargo carrying capacity. The unique extended rear roof translates to a 520L rear cargo area with the rear seats up. This can be further enlarged by folding those same chairs.
Speaking of rear seats, this is the first Panamera to feature a three-seat back row. While it still retains the two outer seats that have become a Panamera standard, Porsche has added a third chair in between, thus increasing passenger space.
