Porsche is one of those carmakers that has not hidden its intent to have an electrified future. Proof of this is the cool Mission E all-electric vehicle that is set to go into production by 2020. Further proof of this point is the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo that debuts at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.
Keen observers will note that the name connotes an all-electric Porsche crossover that combines the future mobility prospects with a versatile vehicle for the active set. This could very well be the future of the Porsche SUV, with its low-slung hood, muscular wings, sleek window lines, sloping flyline (a la Panamera Sport Turismo), a continuous taillight strip, and a sporty rear spoiler.
Porsche gives the car more visual flair with touches like a large glass panoramic roof, as well as its innovative X-Sight lighting system. The Porsche logo even pulsates while topping up the battery, letting one know that energy is flowing into the car.
Yet what makes this concept special is its ability to load various types of objects inside its 4.95m long body. The four-seat cabin comes with load-through access points for skis and other long items. There are also straps and other tie-down hooks to keep things in place.
