During the first 2 months of this year, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Philippines, has achieved a combined monthly sales output of 5,552 units. That’s a 1.5% increase in sales vs. the 5,470 total unit sales of the same period last year.
This achievement was helped by its February 2018 sales record which was capped at 2,649 units. Leading the charge are the brand’s passenger car models, these being the Eon and the Elantra.
Firstly, the Eon managed to sell 1,289 units last month. Next is the Elantra which was sold a total of 346 times. Third on the list is the Accent with total unit sales of 2,363.
Also gaining high ground on the sales tally is the brand’s light commercial vehicles. On top is the Grand Starex with a combines January/February 2018 sales record of 512 units, a 32% increase over the same period in 2017. This helped push HARI’s light commercial vehicle year-to-date sales to new heights, a total of 1,550 units sold so far.
HARI sees a more productive year ahead with the government’s “Build, build, build” program pushing its sales charts forward with less to no adverse effects from the recently-implemented TRAIN Tax Reform law.
