With traffic seemingly getting worse by the day, many cities in Metro Manila have begun implementing measures to try and alleviate this nightmare. One move is to decrease the number of vehicles parked along the street. The latest city that has taken action is posh Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Beginning April 15, 2018, vehicles parked along the streets of BGC will be clamped until a tow truck arrives. Under Barangay Fort Bonifacio Ordinance 14-133, all unattended vehicles will be clamped. Should the driver arrive before the wheel is clamped, s/he will only be issued a Unified Official Violation Receipt. The fine for a clamped vehicle is P1,000
To help ease the problem of parking, BGC officials encourage the use of the BGC app. Downloadable from either Google Play for Android or the App Store for iOS devices, the app can help one locate available parking slots from over 5,000+ spaces in and around BGC. It can likewise guide one around the city using the navigation feature.
So if you frequent or live within this fair city, maybe it would be wise to take note. It could save you from a ton of headaches and cash.
