As we begin the second quarter of 2018, Ford Philippines reported strong sales as well as a bit of good news for owners and potential owners of its line of vehicles. The Blue Oval brand revealed that it sold a total of 1,851 vehicles in March alone, bringing the year to date sales to 6,448 units.
The Ranger led the charge with 942 units, up by 16% from last year to 2,508 trucks for 2018. The EcoSport, meanwhile, had 508 units delivered for the same month. This brings the total number of this mini-SUV to 1,842 units for the first three months of the year. As for the Everest, this one sold 350 copies, allowing the total number of Everests to reach 1,759 units for 2018.
As for that bit of good news, readers may recall that Ford announced that it would be adjusting prices of scheduled service maintenance for its vehicles. This translates to roughly 15% reduced costs for the Ranger and 18% lower service costs for the Everest. This equates to lower running costs over the entire ownership period.
With all these, Ford seems poised to continue its rise in the Philippine automotive market.
