A few weeks ago, MINI Philippines held its annual MINI Festival in BGC Taguig. Aside from an elaborate showcase of new and classic MINIs, the festival highlighted the true star of the show – the MINI Monte Carlo Edition.

As an idea, the MINI Monte Carlo Edition is the British brand’s way of commemorating its rish motorsports heritage that dates back to the 1960s. Using the latest MINI Cooper S as a slate, the brand souped it up with exterior and interior upgrades that relive its glorious rally racing days, especially when it won the Monte Carlo Rally at the time.

This bold move by MINI Philippines is the first of its kind in the country. The brand’s exclusive local distributor British United Automobiles, Inc., which is headed by its President Willy Tee Ten was even quoted as saying, “I’m very excited as we’re pioneering the automotive industry in the Philippines in partnership with Lazada.com.ph to launch the iconic and exclusive MINI Monte Carlo. Only 20 future MINI owners will have a chance to relive MINI’s racing history today.”
